picture at left is John Franklin and Celestial Elizabeth Lawrence.
This picture hung in the home of Willie and Mary Lawrence for many
years. John Franklin is the grandson of John and Betsey.John Franklin's father was William LeRoy Lawrence who was a son of the original Henry County ancestor, John Lawrence
John married Betsy McKinsey in Sumner County, Tennessee. Some of his children were born there and some were born in Henry County. His burial place is not known for sure but probably is the Lawrence cemetery. Betsy may also be buried there. John lived on what is now known as Dale road just south of the old Liberty IV school off the Como-McKenzie road in southwest Henry County.I have never found any picture of John or his wife. There are many descendants of John and Betsy. Some still live in Henry County, Tennessee and many have moved to other places and raised their families. This book has most of his descendants including the younger generations. |
