This book contains the ancestors of John and William Lawrence back to about 1150. The Lawrence family came from England in 1639. Robert Lawrence, son of Sir John Lawrence was probably the first Lawrence from this line who stayed in Virginia. From him the Lawrence line moved down through North Carolina and into Tennessee. John and William lived in middle Tennessee before coming to Henry County. |
