This project will most likely be a great challenge. It cannot be
completed without your help. Any help will be appreciated with stories
about the old timers and pictures of them and of the everyday life and
business building from the past.
Any and all help in this project will be greatly appreciated. We need old
pictures of the downtown area, of Boon Bros. store and the old bank and any
buildings that are no longer standing. We can use as many pictures as we can
get of all areas of the old city. Any pictures of the old school. Full
credit for the pictures will be given and all pictures will be returned.
For those with computers and scanners can scan the pictures in and attach
them to the e-mail and send them with an explanation. I welcome those who
would like to come to my office just east of Center Point store. Please call
first as I am not always available.
We want to know about the old families and as much as we can find about
the churches. If you want to write about any part of the history of
Centerton you can write it in a Word document and attach it to an email and
send it to me.
We especially need stories about times past in Centerton. I will be
contacting many of the long time residents to obtain information for this
project.
